Ecosystem of UAP Research Organizations
Here you can find research organizations or ongoing projects devoted to empirically responsible investigations of unidentified aerospace-undersea phenomena. The Society supports these efforts and is devoted to helping in the professionalization of both the science and the scholarship that can stand on the ground that it provides.
The Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies
The Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU) is a think tank
of scientists, researchers and professionals stretching across organizations, governments and industries to scientifically and publicly explore anomalous phenomena known around the world as UAPs, UFOs, USOs and OVNIs.
UAP Expedition
UAPx Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Federal non-profit scientific research organization based in Florida, which uses an advanced sensor suite to study UAP, filling the specific gap identified by the UAP Task Force report delivered to Congress in the summer of 2021. During our first expedition, we recorded scientific and actionable data from multiple visual sensors (such as visual imagery, infrared imagery, radiological measurements,) and other sensor modalities of a previously unknown atmospheric event. Our data/methods fill a gap in the scientific knowledge of this phenomenon caused by the lack of high-quality, unclassified data. No other known civilian scientific research organization maintains the amount and quality of data regarding potential UAPs as UAPx. Our equipment and processes consist of but are not limited to; radiological measurement devices developed or inspired by MIT, FLIR, NASA Ames Research, and other COTS and internally developed technologies.
Project Hessdalen
Because Hessdalen has been in the media for over 40 years - this site is visited by more than 90 countries every month - so everybody interested in UFOs/UAPs knows about Project Hessdalen.
The first report from 1984, which employed a comprehensive suite of scientific instruments including cameras, seismograph, radar, laser, magnetometer, geiger counter and IR-viewer, remains a valuable resource.
It documented 53 reports of the "Hessdalen Phenomena" during the 18-day field trip and spurred research efforts from scientists around the world.
UAP Tracker
UAP Tracker is a daily live stream on YouTube watching the skies for anomalous events. Interesting events captured on the live stream and from motion tracking software are uploaded after the live stream ends. Links are then posted in the recorded live stream video description and comment sections.
Gesellschaft zur Erforschung des UFO-Phänomens e.V.
The Society for the Study of the UFO Phenomenon eV has been a non-profit organization in Germany for 50 years and is a contact point for sighting reports and questions on the subject of Unidentified Flying Objects ( UFOs ) or Unidentified Aerial Phenomena ( UAP ).
As a civilian citizen science organization, GEP is committed to the principles of good scientific practice for research on UAP / UFOs and has been an associated member of the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Extraterrestrials (IFEX) at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg since 2022 .
UFO Data Acquisition Project
UFODATA seeks to create a systematic, rigorous science of UFO phenomena. Such a science is needed because of misplaced certainties on both sides of the UFO debate: “believers” convinced that UFOs are extraterrestrials, and “skeptics” equally convinced that UFOs do not even exist.
Our own view is that humanity knows very little about the true nature of unexplained UFO reports, and that the only way to resolve this lack of understanding is through serious scientific study. This is now possible for the first time in the history of UFO research as a result of an unprecedented convergence of high resolution digital camera technologies, off-the shelf scientific instrumentation, powerful low-cost computing platforms, and ubiquitous high-speed internet access.
UAP Check
UAP Check is an international project aimed at raising public awareness about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), fostering interest, and promoting global collaboration. Our goal is to improve outreach efforts, reduce stigma, and provide reliable information about UAP.
IFEX - Interdisciplinary Research Center for Extraterrestrial Studies
The center is dedicated to developing and promoting interdisciplinary aspects of the extraterrestrial studies by means of basic research, development and participation in scientific-technical application projects, as well as in terms of the creation of appropriate training programs.
In addition, IFEX focuses on extraterrestrial research projects in the context of science and technology and their innovative application on Earth and in space.
