Matthew Bowman, professor of history and religion at Claremont Graduate University, joins the Society for its January Colloquium, which ushers in a new year of lectures and events at the Society.

Prof. Bowman serves as the Howard W. Hunter Chair of Mormon studies at Claremont, and his work focuses on the history of new religious movements in the United States. He is the author or editor of a half-dozen books. Most recently, Prof. Bowman tackled the famous Betty and Barney Hill abduction case, in which the witnesses involved claimed to have witnessed - and then interacted with - UAP and beings associated with it.
